9/11 Entry

When the planes hit the world trade center and the pentagon I was in my preschool class. When my mom picked me up early. I was clueless and still pretty happy because all I knew was that I got to spend the rest of the day at my house watching the Wiggles. My mom seemed very different though, her and my neighbors sat in our kitchen and talked for a really long time, when I asked what happened the neighbor boy ,who at that time was 7, told me that a plane flew into a really important building. I was still confused, but many years later I know what happened and how big of a tradgedy it was. I always thought that we should of course be invading and going to war with whoever did this, but that wasn't Iraq so I never agreed with that, but I do think we need to take all actions possible to make sure anything like this  ever happens again.

Zombie Apocolypse Plan

On the night of December 20th I plan on sleeping with my Gerber hunting knife and a can of sliced peaches. I don't think that the world will end that night, but better safe than sorry. I don't think I'll get much sleep that night and I'm guessing that when I wake up I will turn on the news right away. If there are no stations and only static then I will put my Zombie survival plan into action. We have a crawl space below our house so that's where I will immidiately move all my stuff. The "ceiling" which is really our floor is about 4 feet high and the thing that makes this the perfect place to hide from brain-munching zombies is that there is only one entrance. So after the first day of moving in I expect to have the couch, my bed, and about a few weeks supply of food. I will also bring my dog and a bunch of candles down there to keep it light when I sleep, that's when it's not my turn to keep watch. After the food runs out, me and my family will have to go to the car and drive into toown for food and supplies, and to check for other survivors, this is Phase II, weapons are essential to this phase because I expect much resistance. After we all return, hopefully, we will load our new supplies in and repeat for as long as we can. After a couple of months or years I suspect there will be a lack of resources and we will have to pack up. This is Phase III, I hope we still have a car and gas at this point because this will be a lot harder without one. After we pack up the car we will head north to washington island, hopefully we still have one of our boats too, (I'm kinda banking on having most of our stuff). Once we get to the island I hope there will be many survivors and no zombies because zombies cannot swim. Then we will join the Island colony and periodically go back to the main-land for supplies, food, ext. Once settled on the island we will live happily ever after... Until the zombies figure out how to operate machinery like boats, then this plan will go down hill very fast.

Not an Average School Day

Ms. Trout was running late going into 4th hour Art class. She was always late, but this time she showed up almost 10 minutes after the bell rang. When she did show up she was dragging a box. She was out of breath and sweating, she placed the large cardboard box on the ground and then scurried out promising she'd return swiftly. Looks were exchanged between me and my classmates as the box began to slightly move, then quiver, then shake furiously. The taped cardboard flaps got pushed out and what emerged was not quite what we all expected...

Miss Penelope Trout began teaching at our school 4 years ago. She was 27 years old and she was very short, only about 5'3". She had a small mouse-like face and pink streaks in her jet-black hair. No one really knew where she came from or what she did before she started teaching at Pleasantville High School. I've heard rumors that she was an art professor at the Art Institute of Chicago, but then she got fired for unknown reasons. For the past couple of weeks she had been acting unusual, well... more unusual than usual. Anyway that's enough about Ms. Trout and it's time to get back to the unusual day at Pleasantville High...

...Out of the box popped what appeared to be Ms. Trout, but she never re-entered the room. "Ms. Trout" then said, "I am the real Ms. Trout, the lady that has been teaching you is a clone that is pretending to be me. She's been keeping me in the gym. but it's being cleaned so she brought me here, she thought I was still knocked out." Simultaniously all of our jaws dropped. Just as she was about to say something else, the clone re-entered the room. She looked around for a few seconds before she started to chase the real Ms . Trout around. They rolled around and got up, both arguing that they were not the clone. The rest of the students and I were stunned and confused to say the least. We decided to have a huddle and debate about how to find out who the imposter is. After about three minutes of talking, we came up with a fool-proof plan. I pulled out a bag of chocolate-covered cherries and handed each of them one. The first Ms. Trout immediatly ate the cherry and the sudents jumped on her while I called the police. Everybody knows Ms. Trout hates chocolate covered cherries.

Author Bio

Casey was born in a small town called the Shire to Jill Baggins and Steve Took. The people who inhabited the Shire were polite and simple folk called Hobbits. By the ripe old age of two, Casey was already doing puzzles, talking, and, like all hobbits, eating his weight in cake. Life was good in the Shire, but like most good things, it had to end. One pleasant afternoon around lunch time there was a disturbance in the village, orcs and goblins were raiding the Shire! Many hobbits want nothing to do with war or violence, so many ran. However Casey, his mother, his father, and his sister were the only ones that survived the attack. After thousands of miles of walking and riding ponies Casey and his family came across a strange land that the locals seemed to call Door County. Since that day Casey has changed a lot, he has grown far beyond the average hobbit's size and he attends school, but he still eats about the same amount. Casey is one of the last remaining hobbits.
